Chuluut River Canyon

The Chuluut River Canyon is a significant natural feature of Central Mongolia, located in Arkhangai province, and forming the northern part of the Chuluut escarpment.

It is nearly 100 km in length and is, on average, around 50-60 m deep. While it is difficult to compare canyons world-wide, Chuluut River Canyon is one of the largest canyons in Mongolia. Chuluut means "Stony" in Mongolian.
