East Gobi Tour
Gobi is huge. It is second biggest desert in the World. East part of the Gobi Desert is its one of the lowest population density and emptiest part. This itinerary is a quiet off road safari to isolated spectacular rocky hills, where you will be in just with your tour members, and away from any shops, restaurants and there is nothing to buy. You may ride your camel and not see anyone except maybe a small herd of wild ass, or single ger of nomads with few camels. Later as the huge desert stars come out you will relax and watch your guide and camel driver cook you dinner, freshly prepared for you, over a small camp fire. Simple camp beds, and tents, are optional. Everything at there is endemic and real. If you avoid from touristic spot and this tour for you.

Why food service not included in the Budget Arrangement? You can buy meals from local ger guesthouses by paying only 2 or 3 usd per meal. There is plenty of food shops on the way when you are touring. You can carry your own food from UB. It is nice you eat our own breakfast and then buy meals for lunch and dinner. Day1. Ikh Nart Nature Reserve - wild sheep.
In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation and drive on the paved road to the Ikh Nart National Park (330 km). It covers an area of about 66,000 hectares of granite rocky hills and semi-desert steppe environments and harbors large populations of argali sheep. Mongolian meaning of Ikh Nart is great sun and established in 1996 as national park. Also, it is home to other wild animals such as ibex (mountain goats), wild ass, black vultures and various species of birds. After lunch time, we will hike around the 2 springs, Khanzan Mountain and Burgasan Am, of the national park for looking argali sheep. Overnight in the tent.

Day2. Zagyn Us Nature Reserve - trees of Gobi.
After breakfast time, we will drive to Zagyn Us Nature Reserve (200 km). Zagyn Us meaning is 'water of zag tree' and for keeping its natural beauty of zag forest of Gobi Desert. Its squire is 2736 km and is protected since 1996. In the afternoon, we will hike in zag forest and take some interesting picture and photos. Overnight in the tent.

Day3. Suikhent Mountain - petrified trees
After breakfast time, we will drive to Suikhent Mountain National Park (170 km). Suikhent Mountain is home of petrified trees of Jurassic Period which is about 60 million years ago and proclaimed as protected place in 1996 for protecting trees. Some of those impressive petrified trees up to 20 m long. Some petrified trees diameter can reach at 2 m. Before lunch time, we will explore petrified trees at the mountain and climb up to the top. Overnight in the tent.

Then we will drive to Ergeliin Zoo National Park (100 km). It is a distinctive natural formation plateau of the Gobi plain terrain that is containing remaining of ancient world existed before 30 million years. Purpose of keeping natural virgin formation, the national park was proclaimed in 1996. We will hike around there after dinner time. Overnight in the tent.

Day5. Khamar Monastery - energy center.
After breakfast time and we will drive to Khamar Monastery Complex (290 km). The monastery was established by educator, poet and noble monk Danzanravjaa in 1820. He chose the site of the monastery believing the surrounding area radiated with a spiritual energy fostered by the Gobi desert. But the monastery was completely destroyed by communist purges in 1937. Rebuilding efforts still continued from 1992 and got large success. Current series of monasteries was built in recent years. Mongolians believe that the site is energy center and often visit there for taking energy from the ground. There, we will see 108 Caves, real dinosaur skeleton on the ground and petrified threes of Jurassic Period respectively. Also, we will hike around and enjoy small sand dunes. Before we head to the tourist ger camp, we will drive to Khusliin Khar Mountain. Climb up there and see panoramic view. After lunch time, we will drive back to Sainshand town. There we will visit to Danzanravjaa Museum. In the evening, we will catch catch the train #285 for back to Ulaanbaatar and overnight on the train. Overnight in the tourist ger camp.

Day6. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast time, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar city (460 km). After arrive in the city, you will be transferred to yout accommodation and end the trip.
