Some of our clients ask us to visit Kazakh families with eagles. Unfortunately, the Kazakh family of eagles lives only in the western part, and you have to fly there to see them. For some customers, customs and culture are more important than nature. We have developed this program for such people. Depending on the date of departure, you can extend the length of the trip to 4, 5, 6 days, etc.

Detailed itinerary
Day1. Fly to Ulgii town & drive to kazakh eagle hunter family
We will pick you up from your accommodation (pick up time will be confirmed) & transfer to the airport. Fly to Ulgii town (3 hours flight). After you landed there, our local guide & driver will pick you up & drive to Kazakh eagle hunter family in Sagsai sub-province (60 km – 2 hours on the dirt road). Get acquainted with Kazakh family life and livestock. Overnight there.
Day2. Eagle hunter
After breakfast time, we will go to the mountains and see the ritual of eagle hunting in nature. You will also have your photos taken with the eagle on horseback. You will spend the whole day with the eaglet and his trained eagles. Overnight there.
Day3. Fly back to Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast time, we will go to the Ulgii town (60 km – 2 hours on the dirt road) & fly back to Ulaanbaatar (3 hours flight). After you landed in the city, our driver will pick you up and transfer to your accommodation.
End time: Depends flight schedule. Usually in the morning.
