Detailed Tour Itinerary
06 Jul. Day1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar & city tour
- Pick you up from the Genghis Khan international airport
- Lunch in the local restaurant
- Visit to the Main Squire. Its official name is Sukhbaatar Squire & it is located in the center of Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
- Visit to the National History Museum. Exhibits of the museum show the history and culture of Mongols from ages as early as the Stone Age and up to the modern days.
- Visit to the Gandan Main Monastery. It currently has over 150 monks in residence. It features a 26.5-meter-high statue of Migjid Janraisig, a Buddhist bodhisattva also known as Avalokitesvara.
- Visit to Dinosaur Museum. Mongolia is famous on its dinosaur findings and one of the top 5 countries. Skeletons, fossilized skin, eggs, footprints from the Four Corners region and throughout the Mongolia.

07 Jul. Day2. Elsen Tasarkhai Sands
- Breakfast
- Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai Sands (280 km on a paved road – 4 hours). Its English meaning is Piece of Sand and considered the northern edge of the Gobi desert & It is small sand dunes, continuously lies in the lowland of legendary Khugnu Khaan and Bat Khaan Mountains.
- Lunch in the tourist ger camp
- Camel ride (1 hour)
- Hike in the sand dunes (1 hour)
- Horse ride (1 hour)

08 Jul. Day3. Karakorum & Ugii Lake
- Breakfast in the tourist ger camp
- Drive to Karakorum (75 km on a paved road – 1 hour). Karakorum, the capital of Great Mongolian State where today there is a small local township.
- Visit to Karakorum Museum. The exhibition hall has valuable and rare exhibits related to the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient times and the Great Mongol Empire.
- Lunch in the tourist ger camp
- Visit to Erdene Zuu Monastery. It built in 1586, is the first Buddhist monastery to have been built in Mongolia and by various construction materials were taken from the ruins of Karakorum.
- Drive to Khushuu Tsaidam Monument (35 km on a paved road – 1 hour).
- Visit to Khushuu Tsaidam Monument. Khushuu Tsaidam Monuments are two memorial stone installations erected by the Turkish people written in Old Turkic alphabet in the early 8th century in the Orkhon Valley.
- Drive to Ugii Lake (40 km on a dirt road – 1 hour). This small picturesque lake is called a paradise for fishers and covers area of only 27 km.sq, average depth of the Lake is 6.64 m and deepest point is over 15 m.

09 Jul. Day4. Khustai National Park
- Breakfast in the tourist ger camp
- Drive to Khustai National Park (265 km mostly on a paved road – 5 hours). National Park Khustai where re-introduction of the wild takhi horses (Przhevalsky’s horses) has taken place since 1992.
- Lunch in the tourist ger camp
- Khustai National Park tour (4 hours). You can see Przewalski’s horses and other wildlife here.

10 Jul. Day5. Naadam Festival Horse race
- Breakfast in the tourist ger camp
- Drive to Khui Doloon Khudag (60 km on a paved road – 1 hour). This is a place for horse racing.
- Watch the horse racing.

- Drive to Ulaanbaatar (35 km on a paved road – 2 hours)
- See folk music concert
- Dinner in the local restaurant
