Naadam festival is biggest event & celebration in Mongolia. It is held on 11 Jul – 13 Jul. Despite the fact that the event takes place in Ulaanbaatar, the Naadam festival is celebrated differently in each village and province.
What to do on 11 Jul?
The Naadam Festival Opening Ceremony, which begins at 11 a.m. in Ulaanbaatar’s Naadam Stadium. The Naadam’s opening ceremony is a colorful spectacle that includes an elaborate procession including local dancers, athletes, soldiers, and even monks, all getting into the festival mood to the traditional, military melodies played by a swarm of musicians dressed in traditional garb.
The first round of wrestling, which begins in the main stadium at midday on day one, is the most entertaining and picturesque.
