Gobi Tour From Ulaanbaatar By Bus
Day1. Ride to Dalanzadgad town & Bayanzag
Day2. Moltsog Els Sands & Yol Gorge
Day3. Ride back to Ulaanbaatar city
Day1. Ride to Dalanzadgad town & Bayanzag – famous dinosaur site
We will pick you up from your accommodation at 07:00 o’clock & transfer to the bus station. After that, we will ride to Dalanzadgad town (600 km – 9 hours on the paved road). Аfter you arrived there, our local guide and driver will pick you up and drive to Bayanzag (100 km – 2 hours on the dirt road). American zoologist Roy Chapman Andrews discovered this place and named as Flaming Cliffs. Therefore, a lot of dinosaurs’ findings such as Protoceratops & dinosaur’ eggs have been found there in first time. Certainly, the red colored cliffs themselves are very imposing from a distance, and are particularly fiery in the light of the setting sun. We will walk around the site. Overnight there. /D/
Day2. Moltsog Els Sands & Yol Gorge
After breakfast time, we will drive to Moltsog Els Sands (40 km – 1 hour on dirt road). The dunes are relatively small compared to the far Khongor Sand Dune, but are still fun! Admire the majestic appearance of the dunes and the wonderful colors that change throughout the day and get involved in some serious camel riding (1 hour). The two-humped camels are very comfortable to ride, as they walk slowly and gently and we will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. After lunch time, we will drive to Yol Gorge (100 km – 2 hours on the dirt road). Yol means vulture in Mongolian and the gorge is located in Gurvan Saikhan Mountain range & stretches over 10 km. The narrowest part, only 3 or 4 person can pass in same time, of the valley is completely shaded from the direct sun shine by high cliff walls. As a result, the valley is famous for the fact that there is ice created in winter by small stream of the valley present there even during the hot summer months until mid of Jul. Then, we will do an hour hiking there & then also visit to the small natural museum (optional horse ride is possible in here). Overnight there. /B,L,D/
Day3. Ride back to Ulaanbaatar city
After breakfast time, you will be directly transferred to local bus station (50 km – 1 hour on the paved road) & catch the bus to Ulaanbaatar city (600 km – 9 hours on paved road). After arrive in the city, we will pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation. /B/
End time: around 17:00 o’clock
Total driving distance: Ulaanbaatar – Dalanzadgad – Ulaanbaatar: 1200 km & Gobi Desert part: 290 km
